You can also have a few of those with a red frame. I have seen a few companies that use black frames with white backgrounds and black frames with orange backgrounds. I personally do not like the idea of a black frame with a white background, so I would suggest the orange framed version.
The most popular solution is to go with red. If you want something white (and if you want a black framed, or black if you want a white framed), then go with a gray frame. It will look like the black version of the image, but I think it is better.
That is true, but I think it is just as much a matter of taste and art style. If the frame is a bit too close to the background, it can look awkward and not very interesting. If it is too far away, it is difficult to read unless you are close to the background. So if you do not know what you are doing, you should just go with a black framed.
I have used a black framed for some sign images and it works quite well. I like it because it keeps the image from seeming too dark or too light. I think that is why I like it so much. For others, I think it might not work as well, if it is slightly too dark or too light. In that case, to go with a gray framed is better. But to go with a black framed is just fine.
